Aligning Social Justice and Faith with Daphne Walker-Thoth

June 27th, 2020

My interview today with Daphne Walker-Thoth is another in a series of conversations I've recorded with people of color about their experiences. You'll notice that during this conversation I sometimes have difficulty even knowing how to ask some questions. I've chosen to leave the interview unedited so that my listeners can hear what it sounds like to have raw - and sometimes messy - conversations.

Daphne is a retired substance abuse counselor emeritus. Before recently retiring, she devoted more than 20 years to helping awaken faith organizations to the anguish and despair of social injustice. Twelve years ago, she spoke at the White House as a panelist on the role of faith organizations in addressing social service issues.

Being A Person of Color In The U.S. with Marcus O. Boston, Freebird Sko and Shawn Giles

June 19th, 2020

Today I have a frank conversation about the experience of being a person of color in the U.S. with fellow podcasters. This episode is for people who want to learn and grow. It's not always easy to sit in the feelings of discomfort that this topic can cause, but it is important. Thank you for being here with me.

Switching Roles with Emily Lane and Michelle Dougherty of Cliterally Speaking The Podcast

June 18th, 2020

Today's episode is a follow up to the last one! Cliterally Speaking The Podcast was generous to ask me to be a guest on their show as well, so today I'm in the interviewee chair. We have a lot of fun talking about (and drinking) wine, our relationships, sex, therapy, and lots more.
